Our sunrise and sunset champagne flights take off daily from October through to the end of March. The balloon is guided by gentle winds not exceeding 15 mph, allowing passengers a serene and peaceful bird's-eye view of ancient temples drifting by. Using his skill the pilot is able to guide the balloon to a gentle landing where our friendly crew and a celebratory glass of champagne will be on hand. On average, flights last between 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Our balloons, which are built to the highest standards of the British aerospace industry, are provided by Cameron Balloons Limited, the world's largest manufacturer of high quality balloons.
Our balloons are insured for two million dollars, third party, and passenger liability.
Golden Eagle Ballooning intends to fill the needs of demand for hot air balloon operation in Bagan with highest safety standards and services. GEB's balloons are manufactured by Ultramagic from Spain - one of the best and well-known balloon manufacturers in the world and approved by European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The insurance is comprehensively covered by Lloyd from United Kingdom for both third parties and the passengers.
The company has three Swiss pilots and one Chief pilot from Barcelona, one Spanish examiner and inspector, one Swiss maintenance manager, two local operation managers, and 35 local ground crews for the operations.
Golden Eagle Ballooning operates three balloons with a total capacity of 24 passengers with one Sunrise flight every morning of 35 minutes to one hour duration, depending on the wind speed and weather condition on that day.

You will be picked up from your hotel, by our friendly staff, and brought to the launch site, in the comfort of our private vehicle.
Around 5:30 AM - Meet Your Pilot & Balloon
Upon arrival at the launch site, you will be served with light breakfast while watching in awe as your balloon is inflated and prepared for flight. Then, your pilot in command will give you full safety briefing and flight instructions.Around
6:15 AM to 6:30 AM - Take-off!
And before you know it, you lift effortlessly into the air and begin your awesome journey. The air is cool and the view from above is simply magnificient.

You will take in mesmerizing view of majestic Bagan as you fly from treetop level up to several thousand feet while travelling where the wind takes you. During your flight, your pilot explains the history of ballooning and points out prominent pagodas in Bagan.

Around 7.30 AM – The Return & Champagne Celebration
It is time to return to the loving arms of Mother Earth. Next, it's time to pack up and you will be presented a flight certificate by the pilot. At the conclusion of your once in a life time adventure, you will be presented with a commemorative champagne toast to cherish for years to come.

Some of the pilots have lived and worked in Burma for many years and are happy to share their insight knowledge with you during the flight.Most of our pilots speak at least a couple of foreign languages like French and German but some will also be able to communicate with you in Spanish, Chinese or Japanese.Oriental Ballooning obtained its AOC (Air operators certificate) in November 2013 and has been offering flights in their boutique 4-12 passenger balloons over Bagan, Mandalay, Inle lake, Pindaya and now for this season Ngapali.The company employs over 100 local staff who enjoy their job and will do everything to make your experience as comfortable as possible. They are fully employed – also during the off-season – and the company offers them free English lessons to improve their skills and opportunities for the future.
